Fall is my absolute favorite season. October started out with my 21st birthday. It was the best. My favorite part was waking up to the two cutest boys in the world. It was also General Conference weekend, so we got to stay home and hang out!
Bennett also turned 3 months on the 12th! He is so big and so smart. I love how he just gets more fun. He talks to us nonstop and one of his favorite things is staring at the pictures in books while we read. I can only hope that all of our kids are little mini-Bennetts!
We carved a pumpkin for family home evening, well Mark did while Bennett and I supervised. We've also been taking advantage of the cooler weather and going on lots of walks and trips to the canyon.
Fall (and October) is the greatest!

2 MONTHS!!
I can't believe that my little baby is 2 months old today! He makes all kinds of cute 'oohs' and 'ahhs' and 'coos' now. He smiles all. the. time. It is probably the cutest thing I have seen, ever! I'll admit that I tear up a little bit every time because I'm just a mess for this baby. He thinks that he can already crawl. He absolutely loves his daddy. I can't get enough of him and his chubby little cheeks! Here is his one month picture and his two month picture:

A little project
The last few weeks of my pregnancy when I was so very impatiently awaiting his arrival, Mark and I poured most of free time and money into Bennett's room. We are pretty proud of how it turned out-even though we don't spend as much time in there as we thought we would!
In love..
We are so in love with this little guy. This past weekend we got to share him with my mom and my brother and sister. We even got to celebrate my mom's 40th birthday with her and tease her about becoming a grandma (which she loves!). We took them to see Temple Square and a few things around Provo. It was so fun to see them fall in love with Bennett too.

Bennett
It all started when I was about 32 weeks and I went for a routine appointment at my OBGYN office. They told me that my blood pressure had started to become too high and that it was a problem. Fast forward through several weeks of twice and sometimes triple weekly appointments with a few hospital visits where they discussed possible delivering me early mixed in there and I was so. done. being pregnant. The danger with having high blood pressure readings during pregnancy is that it can develop into preeclampsia and that can lead to some pretty serious problems for the baby. It turns out that I just have high blood pressure in general though. So, finally at my 38 week appointment they decided that I needed to be induced when my blood pressure reading was 170/110. The doctor told us to go to the hospital that night and I would start the cytotec. We were so excited and relieved that the endless doctors appointments would be over and we could finally meet our baby!
We got to the hospital and they gave me 3 doses of the cytotec over about 9 hours. Mark and I watched t.v. and hung out and slept and nothing too exciting happened. In the morning after my last dose of cytotec, the nurse came in to tell me that I was having contractions every minute and that that was too fast. They told me I didn't need the pitocin and they gave me a few shots of something that was supposed to slow down my contractions, but it didn't work. I was still having contractions every minute but Bennett still wasn't really low enough for me to start pushing so they gave me some pain meds and left me alone for another hour. Every time a contraction started Bennett's heart rate would dip way down and then stabilize but then dip again. All of the sudden I was dying. My contractions were coming even faster and it felt like the pain medication was doing nothing. I started throwing up and crying but at the same time apologizing to everyone for doing it. After about twenty minutes they gave me an epidural and I was basically immediately O.K. It was time to push then and Mark counted for me to push and I just kept pressing the button for the epidural medication.
After a few hours of pushing, Bennett Hampton Wenger was born! I waited but I didn't hear him cry, so I wasn't too surprised when all of the sudden the room filled with about ten more people who were crowded over my baby. I was so relieved when I finally heard him cry but I didn't know why no one brought him to me after more minutes passed. Finally someone brought him over to me, but they said that they were going to have to take him again. I grabbed him and looked at him and the nurse held out his arms for him after just a few seconds. Mark and Bennett left and the doctor told me that they would be back in just a little bit and that they were just checking to make sure his breathing was O.K. After the doctor finished with me, they helped me down to my room on the mother/baby floor and I waited and waited for almost 5 hours.
Finally Mark brought me back pictures of baby Bennett and the nurses said I could go up to the NICU with him to see our baby. His breathing was fine now but his blood sugar levels were low, which is something that happens after a stressful delivery sometimes. He was so beautiful and I loved finally being able to see him. After 5 days that felt like 50 in the NICU, teaching him to eat on his own, and a few days of billirubin lights, we got to bring him home! It was the best day!
I had a hard time the first few days because I felt so guilty. I had wanted to be induced so badly, but obviously it was a little early and my body wasn't as ready as it should have been. If I had not been induced and gone into labor naturally I feel like he probably wouldn't have had such a stressful time and there would have been no problems. Everything is O.K. now, but I still can't help but feel like I could have prevented it by refusing to be induced or something. The important thing now is that Bennett is completely healthy and perfect. He is the best baby and we love him so much!

Catching up!
Now that winter semester is finally over, I think I will have more time to update. I am taking two classes on campus for spring. They are only on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I practically cry every time I have to go. I'm not sure sometimes if I'm having a baby or just turning into one. In the mornings we still work together at the law school, and then Mark has a new job doing door-to-door sales. He is working a ton and I miss him so much when he's gone, but I know the more he works now the more time he can take off when Bennett comes! I have been trying out a lot of new recipes, watching a lot of Disney channel, and hanging out at the Provo library. Oh, here are some pictures of our new apartment!

We moved!
After a year of white brick walls, blue speckled carpet, hearing our neighbor spit in the sink every morning though those brick walls, no air conditioning, a clogged sink from the 1960's, and no washer and dryer, we decided we needed a little change. Seriously though, Wymount was good to us, especially for our first year of marriage. It was just time for a change, so we started looking around. We literally found the perfect place. I am in heaven every time I load the washer and dryer or the dishwasher. I want to die when I walk into our house and I don't smell the food our neighbors cooked every day. I literally squeal every time I think about it. Maybe the excitement will wear off, but for now I am loving our new place.

Two years ago today.
Two years ago today I met up with this cute boy from my American Heritage class. We had met the day before and spent 7+ hours on campus just hanging out. He had the cutest smile and I thought he was way too cute and cool to really be interested in me. We studied for our class, which really consisted of me awkwardly trying to flirt with him while he tried to study. He held my hand and then we went to "explore" the library, and meanwhile that cute boy had a secret plan. He kissed me behind a big display on the first floor, and I literally died. We were totally official after that and I have kissed him every.single.day since. I am so lucky.

Oh boy!
We did the best thing this week. After a loooonnng day at school, Mark picked me up and we headed to the Fetal Studio in Sandy to see our cute little baby and maybe get a good guess at the sex. I was literally so nervous I thought I was going to throw up the whole way there. This family from Lithuania ran the business themselves and they were so nice. As soon as he touched the wand to my belly we saw our baby! The next second Mark said "...so is it a boy?" Ha! It definitely is and we are so excited! He was upside down the whole time waving his legs around. So, meet baby Bennett.

Guess what?
Lately...
So I have been majorly slacking here. Part of the reason is that we lost our camera, so I have no pictures! The other reason is that I've just been ridiculously busy. Here's a quick recap:
Thanksgiving:
Mark and I made a big dinner (minus the turkey, but with duck!) and had my brother-in-law Nick over. It was really fun! We had waaay too much food though.
Our Anniversary:
Since it was on a Sunday, we started celebrating the day before. We went to Crackerbarrel for breakfast, and it was wonderful-seriously delicious. Then Mark got me flowers and chocolates! We hung out and then went to a movie later that night. It was perfect.
The next day, our actual anniversary, we exchanged gifts and made a yummy dinner together, oh-and went to church! It's been absolutely the best year of my life. :)
A picture of my flowers after they had already died...
Christmas:
We went to Texas! I was so nervous because it was my first Christmas away from home. I really missed my family, but it was great being with Mark and his family too. We did a lot of boy stuff, but I made Mark do some girl stuff with me too!
And now, the new semester has started and it is a little crazy. We are getting into the swing of it though!
